Hi, I'm Meg!
Thanks for coming to MEGAbility's website. I am so excited to welcome you to our community!
A little bit about me
I grew up as a gymnast and spent most of my childhood upside down, doing handstands and cartwheels. For me, gymnastics has always been so much more than just teaching me physical skills. It provided me with opportunity to learn, play, build resilience and be a part of a community where I was mentored, supported and surrounded by best friends. Going to gymnastics was always what I looked most forward to across my day and being a gymnastics coach was my first ever job!

Many years later, I am now an experienced Occupational Therapist. I have worked in Australia and the UK with children with a range of neurodiverse, developmental, neurological, physical and sensory needs.

I have always felt that the skills that are taught in gymnastics are wonderful to develop so many movement-based skills like core strength, body awareness, motor planning and bilateral coordination to name just a few! Through the process of learning new gymnastics skills, we also have the opportunity to develop our self confidence and self esteem, build resilience, learn skills in regulation and form friendships and a community of supportive and likeminded people...

... and that's why I decided to create MEGAbility, a gymnastics program that allows us to play, move, grow and have fun!
At MEGAbility, everyone is a star. We aim to foster a positive environment, create a supportive community and a place where every child (and parent!) can be themselves.

I'm so excited to meet you!
